About this Unit

Properties, production, durability and sustainability of conventional and emerging Civil Engineering materials will be examined. Construction materials such as conventional concrete, special concrete (e.g.: low carbon concrete which utilise industrial by-products and recycled materials, fibre reinforced concrete, self-compacting concrete and 3D printed concrete), steel, timber, masonry, asphalt, geotextiles and bio-based materials will be investigated.
