About this Unit

The principles underpinning the Australian concrete structures design code are examined and utilised in the design of reinforced concrete beams, slabs and columns. Flexural Theory is introduced for the design of singly reinforced concrete beams, doubly reinforced concrete beams, T beams, continuous beams and slabs. Further, shear and torsion, bond and anchorage, serviceability including deflection and detailing for reinforced concrete beams, slabs and columns are considered.
