About this Unit

This unit comprises construction and manufacturing practices and design of precast and tilt-up concrete. It more broadly encompasses composite construction, prefabrication, modularisation and fast-track construction. Precast and tilt-up design, construction, building code regulations and safety issues are taught through workshops, lectures and Field Work (site visits) together with independent student research.
