An interesting unit that delves a lot deeper than ELEN1000. Requires you to learn the procedure to answer a lot of very different question types, but does not require a lot of hard maths. The tutorials are very useful, as both the mid-semester and final exam took questions from tutorials with different numbers. The labs are interesting and can be completed fairly easily if you have been keeping up with the lectures. It mostly involves testing circuits to see the practical effects of what you have been learning. The later labs do require a bit more in-depth understanding of content, with marks mostly being based on completing pre-lab questions, and answering questions about the circuits from your lab demonstrator. Lab 3 requires a lab report, which you can complete with a partner. Requires fairly in depth writing, but a template is provided.

You need to absolutely spam the practice questions for this unit, as many as you possibly can. It provides some great foundational knowledge for circuits and their design, but the actual analysis of said circuits can be very difficult if you haven't been paying attention. You should attend the tutorials for the guided practice questions, although I did find that the tutor that I had rushed the questions a little bit, and I found it kind of hard to keep up at times. The final exam was 5 questions that spanned the entire unit's content, so make sure you don't forget any early content just because it was already tested in the mid-sem exam.

If you have Hoa as your UC you can join a discord server that he will create where you can ask questions about anything in this unit. The UC was very responsive to any sorts of questions so don't be hesitant to ask for help. If you have a fundamental understanding of circuits from ELEN1000 that will help in this unit a lot. It's basically ELEN1000 but the adult version (aka more functions, concepts and calculations). Assessment wise you have 5x labs with the 3rd lab needing a report submission. Labs end up taking your time in this unit. - since labs involve PreLabs that are checked as well. There's an in-person midsem and final exam. Understanding the workshop questions are very useful for those.
