About this Unit

This unit introduces classical and computer methods of structural analysis to enable students to assess, quantify and communicate an understanding of statically indeterminate structures’ behaviours. The syllabus includes application of the key concepts of compatibility, stiffness and flexibility to conduct analysis of structures by the force method, slope deflection method, moment distribution method and computer software.
