About this Unit

This unit is on application of the matrix methods, computer software and approximate approaches to analysis of statically indeterminate structures. The contents include stiffness and flexibility concepts of truss and beam members, procedures of full and direct stiffness methods applied to trusses, beams and frames, flexibility methods applied to trusses, beams and frames, self-straining of structures, and analysis using commercial software and by approximate methods.
