About this Unit

This unit explores the dynamic behaviour of single and multi-degree of freedom structures under free and forced vibration modes, and application of the building Codes and Standards for dynamic loads such as earthquake and wind loads. Different types of lateral load resisting structural systems, design considerations for tall structures and approximate analysis for preliminary design are also included.
