About this Unit

The unit focuses on the application of the occupational therapy process including assessment, intervention and evaluation for people with physical activity limitations and participation restrictions within the frameworks of the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) and Person Environment Occupation (PEO). Practical occupational therapy skills to enhance occupational performance for people with physical limitations are part of the learning experience. Case studies are used to develop students’ critical thinking, professional and practical knowledge using occupational therapy models.
