What is GMED2011 about?

This unit introduces students to physiotherapy assessment and management principles for people with pathologies resulting in neurological impairments across the adult lifespan. The unit explores holistic, person-centred care using the ICF framework for subjective and objective assessment and physiotherapy treatment and management. Decision-making and inter-professional team-work is applied in a neurological context, with a focus on problem-solving and clinical reasoning. Professional written and verbal communication skills are also developed in this context.
