About this Unit

This unit applies pathophysiological knowledge and physiotherapy principles in an introductory cardiopulmonary context. Using a clinically-orientated, case-based approach, there is a focus on holistic, person-centred information gathering and collaborative goal-setting. Safe and effective treatment and management plans are developed to address key cardiopulmonary problems for patients in ward-based or community settings. Accurate and effective verbal and written communication skills with individuals and colleagues are developed in a ward-based or community environment, including safe interprofessional discharge planning.
