About this Unit

This unit includes fundamental theory, process design, equipment, and operations of advanced unit operations such as advanced distillation including multicomponent, azeotropic, and extractive distillation, adsorption, evaporation, crystallization, drying, and membrane separation. The unit elucidates applications of these operations in process industries via relevant case studies such as electrolysis process for hydrogen production, and process intensification through 3D printing.
