About this Unit

This unit examines the economics of residential property development as well as the process itself. We examine just how a decision to develop a property is made, the stages in the development process, the key actors involved and the role of the planning system. However, the main focus of the unit is on the financial viability of a development project. Students will use a variety of models to assess viability, measure risk and return and analyse and communicate modelling outcomes.
