About this Unit

Students in this unit will develop their understanding of the property and construction industry in Australia. This includes interpreting building life cycle decisions for climate adaptation, sustainable property practices towards a low carbon economy that incorporate indigenous cultural awareness and workplace equality and diversity. Statutory requirements, building regulations and environmental considerations form an integral part of the unit. Students will learn and apply building measurement and costing techniques using real world examples.
