About this Unit

In this unit, students will learn the principles of culinary nutrition, focusing on the integration of nutrition science with culinary practices. Students will gain practical knowledge and skills in food selection, preparation, and cooking aimed at enhancing the sensory appeal of meals while improving health outcomes. Through a “farm to fork” approach, the unit will also explore factors that influence food choices, examining food systems and food production through to sustainable consumption, household food waste, and the impact on climate.
