About this Unit

Students incorporate evidence informed clinical practice in critical environments. Collaboration, clinical reasoning, decision making and communication to prioritise care in critical situations are key skills developed. There is a focusing on the development of leadership, team approaches to care, preceptor/ mentor relationships; accountability, self-care, resilience and managing challenging situations. Skills for enhancing therapeutic interactions, negotiation and problem solving, conflict management and handling difficult conversations are further explored in this unit.
