About this Unit

Problem-based learning to develop knowledge and skills of designing and building autonomous machines are covered. Students sketch and analyse block diagrams and schematic drawings. Lab activities include design, analysis and construction of analogue and digital systems and pulse-width modulated voltage control circuits. Applications of feedback and timers in linear systems are introduced. Principles of top-down software design are also covered. Sensor selection and deployment are demonstrated.
