About this Unit

This unit will allow students further experience in the clinical area to facilitate the development of professional practice and skills in the midwifery management of women and babies in a variety of midwifery settings. The student explores reflective practice, interaction and communication with the woman and family. This unit includes experience in woman-centred care as part of midwifery continuity of care with individual women through pregnancy, labour and birth and the postnatal period.
