About this Unit

This unit concentrates on both theoretical foundations and practical skills of developing autonomous mobile robots. Topics covered are localisation, mapping, navigation, and control of mobile robots. Students will gain the deep understanding and programme skills of essential algorithms for autonomous robots, through developing the software for a mobile robot operating in both a high-fidelity simulation environment and in a real-world lab environment.
