About this Unit

The unit covers pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and clinical decision making for individuals with adverse health events: respiratory, cardiovascular, neoplasia, hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal and urological dysfunction, and fluid and electrolyte disturbances. Students learn about immune dysfunction, infection, anaphylaxis, changes to normal brain functioning; impacting upon cognition: dementia, delirium. The unit focuses applicable pharmacology and quality use of medicines.
