About this Unit

This unit consists of two parts, drawing and surveying. In drawing, the rationale, documentation and standards of drawing will be covered through producing structural engineering drawings for reinforced concrete and steel using CAD or BIM software. Interpretation of above civil engineering drawings for structures, drainage and roads will also be covered in this unit. In surveying, various theories and practices of surveying applied to civil engineering and construction projects will be covered as well as the application and use of various surveying instruments. Various surveying techniques and calculations methods will also be covered in this unit.
