About this Unit

This unit will examine microcontroller and microcomputer architectures, including von Neumann architecture, instruction sets and memory maps. Methods of input/output and assembly languages will also be covered and demonstrated with the use of integrated development environments (IDE). An introduction to high level languages, such as C, will be used to demonstrate the development process involved in embedded systems
