About this Unit

This unit provides a comprehensive understanding of best laboratory practices, including occupational health and safety (OH&S), risk assessments, chemical storage and disposal, NATA and ISO standards compliance, and ethics in science. Students will learn research methodology, review the research process, construct literature reviews using computer-based tools, and critically analyse research papers. Students will also conduct systematic independent investigations, interpret results in the context of previous studies, and effectively communicate research findings through a scientific report and presentation.
