About this Unit

In this unit, the effect of geometallurgy on mineral processing is considered, including liberation models, comminution circuit operations and equipment, as well as unit operations and equipment designed for mineral beneficiation, including gravitational, magnetic and electrostatic separation of minerals. Pulp rheology, electrokinetics and flotation phenomena are considered, as well as advanced topics in bulk solids handling, solid-liquid separation, online sensors and ore sorting.
