About this Unit

This unit integrates the learning outcomes of preceding and concurrent units of this degree in order to prepare a pharmacist for lifelong learning and professional practice. Understanding of the role of the pharmacist as a healthcare provider practising in diverse settings. Professional behaviours, including reflective practice and ethical and cultural competence applied to pharmacy practice. Provision of, and problem solving in, contemporary services offered by pharmacists. Responsibilities and accountability in conforming to legislation. Practical application of essential skills in planning, assessment, intervention, communication, documentation and management functions. Retrieve, analyse and synthesise information. Provision of evidence and information utilising current professional resources. Advanced written and verbal communication with stakeholders in a professional practice setting.
