About this Unit

The unit aims to introduce students to key scientific concepts, including force, energy, mass, waves, mechanics and optics, and their application to contemporary workplace technology. It introduces the fundamental aspects of experimental design, measurement, and analysis that form the basis of evidence-based practice in health and safety. The unit will provide opportunities for students to develop problem solving and critical thinking capabilities and skills in communicating health and safety information.
