About this Unit

Individual and group counselling competencies that can be applied with a diverse range of people and contexts will be developed in this unit. Person-centred counselling will be utilised to understand and develop skills that underpin therapeutic engagement for individual and group approaches to occupational therapy interventions. Contemporary, evidence-based approaches will be used to develop individual and group practice. The principles and application of self-management and reflective practice will be utilised to foster ongoing professional development in this unit, including developing and maintaining ethical practice.
