About this Unit

Apply knowledge of socio-cultural and biopsychosocial elements to practice in the context of life-long or life-limiting health conditions. Recognise and understanding of individual and family psychological responses to including personal skills and abilities, habitual behaviours, emotion and motivation. Recognise and assess psychological circumstances of the individual and family living with unstable health problems, such as stress, anxiety, depression and chronic pain and understand how these impact individuals and families. Apply transdisciplinary psychosocial approaches to person-centred practice to promote health and well-being, prevent illness, improve health care outcomes, and empower individuals and families.
