About this Unit

This unit will focus on a specialised area of law, which will vary from year to year. The specific content that will be covered will depend upon the subject of the special topic(s) and the academic undertaking the teaching of the unit. The unit content will involve an international and/or comparative component, which will also be embedded in one or more of the unit’s assessment tasks. Students will be required to undertake intensive reading and research on the specialised topic(s) to develop an in-depth knowledge of the unit content. Students will also develop an appreciation for international and/or comparative perspectives (as they relate to the subject of the special topic(s)), together with critical thinking and (both written and oral) communication skills.
