About this Unit

The fundamental designer's knowledge, purpose and required skills of digital modelling and fabrication are studied in this unit. Parametric Solid modelling software CAD is used to create form, scale drawings, and render images. The required application of technical communication to Australian and international standards is established. The design potential of digital fabrication is studied through the examination of iconic designs, human sensory experiences, research and creative experimentation.
