About this Unit

This unit covers topics within the field of environmental engineering - particularly those in the sub-disciplines of water, soil and air. The principles of water and wastewater quality and treatment, as well as wastewater recycling are presented, covering both conventional and advanced water and wastewater treatment processes. Concepts in soild waste (including hazardous waste) will be discussed. Air quality, pollution control, water quality and environmental impact will be discussed and applied.
