About this Unit

This unit prepares a student to design and analyse practical renewable energy systems using energy sources such as solar photovoltaics, wind generators and hydro power generators with the use of power electronic converters and energy storages. Analysing the performance of real-scale renewable energy systems in a hardware laboratory and designing new renewable energy systems using software tools are key components that enhance the knowledge gained through lectures and workshops.
