What is EDUC1034 about?

This is the first in the suite of professional experience units that includes a practical component (a 10 day placement in a school). The unit will allow you to apply philosophies and theories related to teaching and learning. The unit also addresses professional responsibilities, effective communication and reflective practices to support your workplace learning. The professional experience practical assessment is a low-stakes observational work place learning opportunity intended to enable practical application of the knowledge and skills gained, along with providing students with insights into the complexity of the teacher’s role. All required clearances to work with children must be obtained and valid, and all other preparation requirements met prior to commencement of Professional Experience placement.
