About this Unit

This is the second in the suite of professional experience units that includes a practical component (15 days of placement in a school). The unit will allow you to extend your developing knowledge and skills in the classroom by considering lesson planning and classroom management by considering diverse students’ needs and the ways teachers respond to these needs, both through a theoretical and a practical lens. The professional experience practical assessment assesses your emerging ability to engage with practical application of the knowledge and skills gained working towards classrooms where all students can thrive. All required clearances to work with children must be obtained and valid, and all other preparation requirements met. All assessment components must be passed in order to pass the unit.
