About this Unit

This unit will be delivered in three modules covering topics on electroanalytical methods, scanned microscopy techniques, advanced electrochemical and electrical characterisation, respectively. Students will be introduced to electroanalytical methods such as pulsed and stripping voltammetry, ion-selective electrodes and explores micro- and nano-electrodes. Advanced electrochemical and electrical characterisation techniques such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, molecular electrochemistry and single-molecule sensing will be discussed. Students will learn microscopy techniques to characterise samples with regards to their physical and chemical properties.
