About this Unit

This unit provides students with an opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and engage with an external organisation (e.g industry partner, community, voluntary organisation,…) on a project / problem specific to the organisation’s needs. It aims to provide students with an opportunity to apply independent problem solving in real world scenarios, supported by both an academic and a work based supervisor. Importance is placed on the project design process in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment and students are responsible for developing strategies to meet the challenges of working in this type of environment.
