About this Unit

Guided and taught by Indigenous rangers and Traditional Owners on Country, students will gain insights into, and participate in, the vital work rangers perform in caring for Country. Centred around a 1-week on Country immersion, the Walking On-Country unit will deepen students’ understanding of the desert, Country, Culture, Indigenous Ecological knowledge and community development from a First Nations' perspective. The Walking On-Country unit will build key intercultural capabilities whilst enabling students to understand how Indigenous land and sea management frameworks can be applied to regional, rural, and remote development contexts.
