Students are provided the opportunity to develop an in-depth knowledge of aspects relating to the role of marketing in tourism, hospitality, and events. The unit provides students with an understanding of the applications of marketing principles in a range of global and local tourism environments. Broadly, students will focus on areas such as developing tourism marketing opportunities and strategies, using effective communication to use and adapt information and technology relating to segmenting consumers, and marketing tourism destinations, in alignment with ethical and responsible practices and insight into the future of tourism.
