About this Unit

This unit introduces the key fundamentals of contemporary policy making and planning. Students will be introduced to a six-step national strategic planning process; the foundations of contemporary defence planning as an evolving process. They will become familiar with conceptual understanding of national purposes and national security interests. Students will learn about meaningful strategies, plans, programs and operations. Students will acquire core skills associated with contemporary strategic thinking, systematic planning, and the art of management of different assets.
