About this Unit

In this unit students will learn about the key drivers behind military technological innovation, contemporary technological warfare and the so-called arms race. Technological warfare, which brings together strategies, operational art, tactics, and applied science, continues to alter military balances, and by that affect the international security environment. Students will be introduced to the history of technical warfare, become familiar with pathways to military superiority; the difference between incremental processes and quantum leaps; and learn about the challenges and benefits of self-reliance as well as risks of overdependence.
