About this Unit

Economic theory can help explain a variety of property market outcomes and offer solutions to complex problems. This unit introduces students to key economic theories such as supply and demand and discusses how theory helps explain the operation of various property markets both in Australia and internationally. Students will examine the planning system in Western Australia and relevant state and federal policies related to housing to understand how they shape the operation of property markets and the actors operating within it.
