About this Unit

In this unit, students will combine their understanding of professional leadership, quality improvement, research and the influence of social determinants on personal and community health. Quality improvement and project evaluation strategies will be explored, as well as a deeper analysis of the professional responsibilities of paramedics to advocate for and support efforts addressing inequity in social and health outcomes. Students will use this knowledge to work in groups and develop a project to address a community social or health issue using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as a framework,
