About this Unit

This unit provides a comprehensive development of the theoretical knowledge and practical skills underpinning intermediate beginning radiation therapy practice, including the principles, technology, patient positioning and approaches associated with simulation, planning and treatment. This unit provides further development of the intermediate beginning radiation therapist’s capacity for culturally safe person-centred care, effective communication, safe and ethical practice, and reflective thinking.
