About this Unit

This unit introduces the fundamentals of engineering management. Key topics include organisational management, managing project teams, engineering ethics and sustainable engineering practice. A major focus is on project management, including the project life cycle, project planning, scope, scheduling, budgeting, work breakdown structures and resource allocation. This unit also introduces key concepts in contract law for engineers, quality and risk management, as well as strategic planning.
