About this Unit

An analysis and application of knowledge of common mental health disorders, the signs and symptoms of mood affective disorders including depression, bipolar and anxiety disorders. The association between trans-generational trauma and depression among stolen generation people is also explored. Students critically examine these maladaptive behaviours and categorise them from a mental health perspective that includes concurrent conditions, classification of the disorder and appropriate referral.
