About this Unit

Seven weeks of supervised professional practice in a 'National Association of Testing Authorities' (NATA) accredited medical laboratory. Students will undertake discipline specific clinical laboratory placement gaining competency, skills and knowledge in the systems and processes documented in the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to a discipline specific set of elements outlined in Unit 3 of the Competency based standards for Medical Scientists published in Dec 2009.
