About this Unit

This unit will provide a perspective on the European Union legal order, the role of European institutions, the sources of law and their impact on national legal orders. In addition, the unit deals with judicial review as practised by the European Court of Justice (ECJ), the economic and historical origins of the European Union and the developing case law on social, economic and constitutional matters. Furthermore, insights to substantial EU law will be given, having Competition Law and State Aid Law in the focus.
