About this Unit

This unit introduces students to the nature, history and function of journalism in Australia. Students will learn to think and communicate critically about journalism practice and journalism’s role in society, and as a crucial function of democracy. Students will develop practical reporting skills in a variety of mediums and platforms highlighting their ability to convey information and ideas effectively, concisely, creatively, and accurately.
