About this Unit

This unit aims to develop and maintain an advanced competence in modern Japanese at JLPT N2 level. Learning materials are taken from a variety of up-to-date authentic media, TV, film, websites and digital media. The unit explores a number of issues in Japanese society and examines how they contribute to cultural and social identify. Students will learn to reflect critically on the complex intersection between language, identity, and society in Japan.
