About this Unit

This unit develops interactive skills to enable communication and conversation in Japanese. It introduces grammar, vocabulary and kanji which are equivalent to level N3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Students discuss a wide range of topics such as Japanese ambiguity and indirectness. This unit also focuses on strengthening students’ skills in intercultural communication. Authentic texts are used to analyse modern Japanese culture and society.
