About this Unit

In this unit, students learn to provide audit services in accordance with Information Systems (IS) audit standards to assist an organisation to protect and control information systems. This includes processes and methods based on industry standards to define, recommend, and implement policies, standards, procedures and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets. Standards examined include the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), and System Admin, Audit, Network, and Security (SANS) Critical Security Controls.
